Using MET Values

This calculator uses the Metabolic Equivalent of Task (MET) system. One MET is the energy you spend sitting at rest. An activity with a MET of 8 means you burn 8 times as much energy as you do at rest.

Formula: Calories = (MET × 3.5 × Weight_kg) / 200 × Duration_min
