Total Credits: 0
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is a weighted average of your grades. It is calculated by multiplying the grade value by the number of credits for each course, summing these products, and then dividing by the total number of credits.
GPA = Σ (Grade Value × Credits) / Σ Credits
Where Σ represents "Sum of".
| Letter Grade | Percent | Points |
|---|---|---|
| A | 93-100% | 4.0 |
| A- | 90-92% | 3.7 |
| B+ | 87-89% | 3.3 |
| B | 83-86% | 3.0 |
| B- | 80-82% | 2.7 |
| F | 0-59% | 0.0 |
Generally, a 3.0 (B average) or higher is considered good. For competitive graduate programs, a 3.5+ is often preferred.
Add your existing total grade points to your current semester's points, then divide by the total cumulative credits.
